As part of our celebratory events, on Saturday 3rd August, IOCS co-organised an outreach event with the team of Southwark Cathedral. This was a joyous day with reflections on the enriching ecumenical encounter between the Orthodox tradition and the other Christian traditions – and today’s society at large. Besides the talks from distinguished speakers participants could also visit stalls throughout the day.
Speakers at the event included His Eminence Archbishop Angaelos (Coptic Archbishop of London), our Principal Father Dragos Herescu, Revd Dr John Binns (Visiting Professor IOCS), and Aidan Hart (established iconographer and Research Associate of our Institute).
