Conversation Day 28 April 2018 – ‘Modern Science and Orthodox Christianity: Friends or Foes?’

Our next Conversation Day will take place on Saturday 28 April at Westcott House (Jesus Lane, Cambridge CB5 8BP) – please note the change of venue.
This second event in the series will address the very relevant theme of Science and Religion. More specifically, the topic of the Conversation Day is: ‘Modern Science and Orthodox Christianity: Friends or Foes?’

Our two speakers addressing the theme are Revd Dr Christopher Knight and Dr Elizabeth Theokritoff (who is returning for this second Conversation Day after a fascinating presentation on the March Conversation Day). Each speaker with deliver a talk followed by a questions and answers session. Also, there will be time for the two speakers to respond to one another and take questions from the audience.

The programme for the day follows this structure:

10:30-11:00: Arrival & coffee/tea
11:00-12:15: Revd Dr Christopher Knight: ‘Modern Science and Orthodox Christianity: Friends or Foes?’ (followed by brief response / questions and answers)
12:15-13:00: Light lunch (sandwiches and refreshments)
13:00-14:15: Dr Elizabeth Theokritoff: ‘The book of creation: How do you read?’ (followed by brief response / questions and answers)

Thanks to the generous support from the Koga Family, we are delighted to offer all the Conversation Days as free of charge events. Everyone is welcome, so please let friends or colleagues who may be interested know!
