Services at the Institute
The Institute holds services on Friday evening and Saturday morning of the Study Weekends. Usually the services take place in the chapel of Wesley House.
Orthodoxy in Cambridge
- The Parish of St. Ephraim the Syrian is an English-speaking Russian Orthodox parish of the Diocese of Sourozh (Moscow Patriarchate). Vespers are held on Saturday at 5.00pm and Liturgy on Sunday at 10.00am. For more information see www.saintephraim.org.uk.
- The Parish of Saint Athanasios is a Greek Orthodox parish, which belongs to the Archdiocese of Thyateira and Great Britain. Matins and Liturgy are held in Greek on Sundays at 11:30 in St. Athanasios' and Clement's Church, Bridge Street. Vespers are held on Saturdays at 5:30 pm. - The Romanian Orthodox Parish of St John the Evangelist, established in early 2010. The community meets for services every fortnight, either at St Peter's church on Castle Street (http://www.churchatcastle.org/node/9) or at Michaelhouse church, on Trinity Street (http://www.michaelhouse.org.uk/). They do not yet have a website, but you can contact the parish priest, Fr. Dumitru Radulet, at reluradulet@hotmail.com. Services are in Romanian and English.
- Cambridge University Christian Orthodox Society. The Orthodox Society is run by students in Cambridge who organise regular talks, prayer services and other events throughout the year. For more information visit their site.
