Orthodoxy in Cambridge

  • The Parish of St. Ephraim the Syrian is an English-speaking Russian Orthodox parish of the Diocese of Sourozh (Moscow Patriarchate). Vespers are held on Saturday at 5.00pm and Liturgy on Sunday at 10.00am. For more information see www.saintephraim.org.uk.
  • The Parish of Saint Athanasios is the Greek Orthodox parish in Cambridge, belonging to the Archdiocese of Thyateira and Great Britain. Services are held in Greek (with some English) in St. Athanasios’ Church, 154 Cherry Hinton Road, Cambridge CB1 7AJ.   • The Romanian Orthodox Parish of St John the Evangelist, was established in early 2010. The community meets for services every Sunday at St Giles Church on Castle Street, CB3 0AQ. You can find more information about forthcoming services and other news on the parish website (http://en.orthodoxcamro.co.uk/). Services are held in both Romanian and English.
  • Cambridge University Christian Orthodox Society. The Orthodox Society is run by students in Cambridge who organise regular talks, prayer services and other events throughout the year. For more information visit their site.
